Wendy Desormeaux is a seasoned ski instructor and mentor who brings over 25 years of experience to Flow Performance Club. A lifelong skier who first hit the slopes at the age of 3, Wendy’s passion for skiing has shaped her career and life. After earning her CSIA Level 1 certification in her late 20s, Wendy began teaching skiing while balancing a full-time career in government. Her dedication to skiing and teaching grew steadily, leading her to achieve CSIA Level 3 certification, Level 4 skier status, Level 1 Course Conductor and recognition as a Development Level Alpine Canada Coach.

Upon retiring from her government role, Wendy discovered that skiing recreationally wasn’t enough to satisfy her passion. When Mont Ste-Marie Ski Resort sought a new Snow School Director, Wendy stepped into the role, launching her second career as a leader in ski instruction. During her tenure, Wendy was instrumental in building a strong team of instructors, fostering a culture of excellence, and delivering superior skiing and learning experiences to students of all levels. 

Outside of skiing, Wendy is also a dedicated tennis player and is actively involved in the tennis community at Lac Sainte-Marie as President and board member. Her ability to combine technical knowledge with mentorship extends beyond skiing, creating opportunities for athletes to excel in multiple disciplines.

instructors, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to succeed. “Having the opportunity to mentor ski instructors is extremely rewarding. Giving new instructors the skills that they need to teach students and then watching them grow and succeed is simply amazing,” Wendy shares. 

At Flow Performance Club, Wendy combines her technical expertise with her love for teaching to provide an exceptional learning experience. She believes in helping skiers connect with the environment, finding joy in every turn, and embracing the flow state on the mountain.

A Personal Connection to Excellence

Wendy credits her husband, Luc, with inspiring her journey in the ski industry. His guidance and enthusiasm for the sport have fueled her own success, culminating in her internationally recognized status as a ski instructor. “Watching Luc’s passion for the development of Flow Performance Club is inspiring, and I’m excited to join the team,” Wendy says.

Wendy is eager to share her extensive knowledge and her passion for skiing with Flow Performance Club members. “I look forward to skiing in Switzerland and taking my teaching to a new level. I can’t wait to share my knowledge of skiing and my love of being outside and at one with the environment”.
